BAŞAK CENGİZ
Başak CENGİZ was born on December 18, 1993 in Ankara. Başak, the youngest child of a family with three children, completed her primary education with a "Certificate of Appreciation" at Mehmet Emin Yurdakul Secondary School and her high school education with a "Certificate of Honor" at Pınar College Çağlayan Science High School, where she received a full scholarship.
She successfully completed the Department of Architecture of our Faculty, which he started in 2013, in 2018. CENGİZ, who started his working life in Ankara in August 2021, lost his life as a result of a treacherous attack by a murderer she did not know, on November 9, 2021, in Istanbul, where she was working in the Istanbul Financial Center project of the company she worked for.
Başak CENGİZ was an exemplary person with her attitude and behavior, sensitive about social responsibility projects, and a versatile person with her aptitude for art. She was engaged and making preparations for marriage.
With the Presidential decision dated 22.11.2021 and numbered 4831, published in the Official Gazette dated 23.11.2021 and numbered 31668, the name of our Faculty was changed to "Başak Cengiz Faculty of Architecture".
The cherished memory of Başak CENGİZ will be kept alive forever under the name of "Başak Cengiz Faculty of Architecture".
