The Department of Architecture hosted Megaron, a leading company in the construction industry, introducing students to the latest advancements in building material technologies. During the event held on April 27, 2026, material selection in modern architecture and innovations in roofing systems were discussed in comprehensive detail.
In the first session, Mert Bıçakçı (MSc Civil Engineer) delivered a presentation focusing on building material selection, sustainability, aesthetics, and the future of tile roofing systems. This session provided critical technical insights designed to enhance the students' future professional practices and sectoral vision.
Following the seminar, a hands-on mock-up workshop was conducted with the active participation of architecture students. This practical session allowed students to examine theoretical concepts of roofing systems and detailing through direct, physical application.
