Tiny House Field Trip
During the Fall Semester of the 2025-2026 Academic Year, a technical field trip was organized for architecture students to a company that produces wooden Tiny Houses as part of the Architectural Project II course. During the trip, students had the opportunity to examine the basic principles of wooden frame construction systems firsthand in the workshop. Both the skeletal state and the completed structure of a building under construction were examined, allowing students to observe the entire process from design to implementation. Through practical applications on a tiny house under construction, students experienced detailed solutions and practical problems encountered during the construction process. Following this, two completed tiny house examples were visited; evaluations were made regarding spatial organization, material usage, and detailed solutions. These examples contributed to students' awareness of small-scale housing design, sustainability, and modular construction concepts, and were productive and educational in terms of reinforcing their theoretical knowledge with practical application.
