The award-winning project was developed within the scope of the Urban Design Studio conducted by Assist. Prof. Dr. Damlanur İlipınar. The students who contributed to this project are:
Derya Topal
Filiz Coruhlu
İlknur Özdem
Ilgın Işık Kalaycıoğlu
Zeynep Alpgül
Our students not only designed a physical space but also presented a comprehensive vision that reintroduces a functionally obsolete area into the collective urban memory. Rather than erasing the traces of the former stadium, they reinterpreted this heritage as a public void and a space for collective use. The project aims to transform the site into a vibrant urban focal point by integrating sports, culture, arts, and social interaction.
This award is a concrete demonstration that studio education at our university goes beyond theory, combining with a strong culture of competition to elevate critical thinking, teamwork, and innovative design skills to the highest level.
We sincerely congratulate our students—future architects—on this meaningful achievement and wish them continued success in their visionary journeys.
